Our Projects

THE K.E.Y.S INITIATIVE - Launching Soon - Summer of 2017 - Project of Spreading The Word, Marketing and Promoting the Mission

Moncks Corner, SC

Our first initiative is to market, promote and spread the word about our organization's mission. We are in the early stages of development and the goal is to connect with local businesses, the school district and other local charitable organizations to create a solid network to market our cause for maximum exposure. This network will bring great awareness and consistent support to those in need throughout the local areas.

Once a solid network is established this will help to usher in our second initiative which is to establish awareness for Orphans. Sponsored events will be held specifically for catering to their needs and concerns. Building a relationship and keeping constant contact with the staff of orphanages, the orphans themselves, and their needs will help our initiative reach out to the community for support. All of our projects and Initiatives will adopt this pattern.

K.E.Y.S For The Less Fortunate is not only about raising money or just giving food. Our Initiative is about creating real change and real support for those who are in need. Anyone can feed somebody, give money or put a roof over someones head but not everyone is willing and ready to build relationships with those they are giving wealth, food and shelter too. K.E.Y.S For The Less Fortunate will strive to be a relationship based community service initiative.

The Purpose of our Mission

education

K.E.Y.S is the acronym chosen for our organization which means "Knowledge Equals Your Success." Non-destructive and sound knowledge used properly in any field of expertise brings success. Our first goal is to educate and distribute beneficial knowledge to the community regarding those who are less-fortunate. Bringing consistent awareness to those in need will facilitate the gateway for others to take action in service of the community. This beneficial knowledge will create successful community service activities that will uplift, encourage and ease the hearts of our less fortunate community members.

"Every Muslim has to give in charity." The people then asked: "(But what) if someone has nothing to give, what should he do?" The Prophet replied: "He should work with his hands and benefit himself and also give in charity (from what he earns)." The people further asked: "If he cannot find even that?" He replied: "He should help the needy who appeal for help." Then the people asked: "If he cannot do (even) that?" The Prophet said finally: "Then he should perform good deeds and keep away from evil deeds, and that will be regarded as charitable deeds."

Prophet Muhammad, may peace be upon him

religion

Our religion Islam teaches us the great need for assisting those in need. But in our busy lives sometimes we forget to save a (consistent) portion of our wealth for them and do not prioritize time in supporting our brothers and sisters in humanity that are in need. It is our duty as Muslims to make this type of sacrifice consistently throughout our lives because it is a part of God's cause.

God says in His Final Book to mankind.

Qur'an 2:177

"Righteousness isn't turning towards the Easy or the West. Righteousness is believing in God, the Last Day, the angels, the scriptures and the prophets. Righteousness is spending of your wealth, for the love of Him, on relatives, orphans, the poor, travelers, and on those who ask for help.

"righteousness is freeing slaves, establishing prayer, giving in charity, fulfilling your agreements, and being patient in danger, hardship and adversity. These people affirm the truth and are mindful of their Lord."

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity."

The Prophet also said: "Every act of goodness is charity."

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Every Muslim has to give in charity." The people then asked: "(But what) if someone has nothing to give, what should he do?" The Prophet replied: "He should work with his hands and benefit himself and also give in charity (from what he earns)." The people further asked: "If he cannot find even that?" He replied: "He should help the needy who appeal for help." Then the people asked: "If he cannot do (even) that?" The Prophet said finally: "Then he should perform good deeds and keep away from evil deeds, and that will be regarded as charitable deeds."
